Who I Am
Edreanna Valiente is an emerging Filipino artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her practice centers on heritage, identity and diasporic belonging through mixed media and contemporary painting. Edreanna's work is characterized by traditional Filipino tattoo patterns and vibrant tropical colours, which function as visual representations linking the present to ancestral history. Edreanna articulates her art as a space for cultural reclamation, preservation and continuity.
She is a current student at Humber Polytechnic studying Visual and Digital Arts (VADA), and an active member of the Visual and Digital Arts Club, serving as a Logistics Manager. Edreanna also contributes to leading exhibition development and documentation for Lingua Franca, an upcoming exhibition at the Humber Galleries.
